Obtaining an arrest warrant

The court may issue an arrest warrant on misdemeanor offenses. You must first report the incident to the police and have a report made. You may then come to the court and speak to the court magistrate. You will have to take an oath issued by the magistrate that any and all verbal and written testimony you give is true and correct. Should the magistrate determine that there is sufficient probable cause that an offense was committed and that the person named committed the offense, then an arrest warrant will be issued.

You may be required to appear at court and to testify.

Felony cases will be investigated by the police department and the findings taken to the county District Attorney's Office.

Defendants

Defendants on misdemeanor cases may post bond or bail in accordance with the bail and bonding schedule issued by the Court.
