NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE MOODY PLANNING COMMISSION REGARDING THE PROPOSED FULLY AMENDED AND RESTATED SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS
Notice is hereby given that the City of Moody Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers at Moody City Hall, located at 670 Park Avenue, Moody, Alabama 35004, to receive public comments regarding the proposed repeal and replacement of the existing City of Moody Subdivision Regulations with fully amended and restated Subdivision Regulations.
The purpose of the proposed fully amended and restated Subdivision Regulations is to address the subdivision development moratorium established by Ordinance No. M2025-10-13A and to establish revised and consolidated regulations governing the subdivision of land within the City of Moody, including updated requirements and procedures for subdivision review and approval. The proposed Subdivision Regulations are intended to replace the existing Subdivision Regulations in their entirety, subject to final consideration and adoption by the City Council.
Following the close of the public hearing, the Planning Commission will consider the comments received and prepare and submit its recommendation regarding the proposed fully amended and restated Subdivision Regulations to the Moody City Council in accordance with applicable law.
The complete text of the proposed fully amended and restated Subdivision Regulations is available for public inspection at the Office of the City Clerk at Moody City Hall, 670 Park Avenue, Moody, Alabama 35004, during regular business hours. The proposed Subdivision Regulations are also available for review on the City’s website at:

All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and shall be afforded an opportunity to be heard regarding the proposed fully amended and restated Subdivision Regulations.
There being no newspaper of general circulation published within the City of Moody, THIS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING IS POSTED AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF MOODY: Moody City Hall, Moody Civic Center, Moody Library, Moody United States Post Office
