NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE MOODY PLANNING COMMISSION REGARDING THE PROPOSED FULLY AMENDED AND RESTATED ZONING ORDINANCE
Notice is hereby given that the City of Moody Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers at Moody City Hall, located at 670 Park Avenue, Moody, Alabama 35004, to receive public comments regarding the proposed repeal and replacement of the existing City of Moody Zoning Ordinance with a fully amended and restated Zoning Ordinance.
The purpose of the proposed fully amended and restated Zoning Ordinance is to address the moratorium established by Ordinance No. M2025-10-13A and to comprehensively revise, update, and consolidate the City’s zoning regulations, including provisions governing land use, zoning districts, development standards, and the administration and enforcement of zoning regulations. The proposed Zoning Ordinance is intended to replace the existing Zoning Ordinance in its entirety, subject to final consideration and adoption by the City Council.
Following the close of the public hearing, the Planning Commission will consider the comments received and prepare and submit its recommendation regarding the proposed fully amended and restated Zoning Ordinance to the Moody City Council in accordance with applicable law.
The complete text of the proposed fully amended and restated Zoning Ordinance is available for public inspection at the Office of the City Clerk at Moody City Hall, 670 Park Avenue, Moody, Alabama 35004, during regular business hours. The proposed Zoning Ordinance is also available for review on the City’s website at:

All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and shall be afforded an opportunity to be heard regarding the proposed fully amended and restated Zoning Ordinance.
